ECLC is an ESL school for adults and an official IELTS centre. It is owned and managed by ESL instructors since 1998. The school caters to motivated students who want to work hard to achieve academic excellence and personal success. ECLC is located in downtown Halifax, close to restaurants, universities, libraries, grocery stores, and markets, shops.Our current campus was purpose-built in 2011 and is bright and welcoming – most students are surprised to find such bright colours in a school. They love the warm atmosphere and enjoy relaxing and studying in our spacious student lounge.ECLC has capacity for 200 students in 19 classrooms. Class sizes are small – usually between 8 and 10 students, with slightly larger classes for higher academic levels. Minimum age is 17.
